Bermuda Sun

Introduction

Published twice weekly, the Bermuda Sun is the Island’s most trusted newspaper, serving the community by telling it as it is - the facts without the fluff.

Our Company

Connected to the community
Founded in 1962, the Bermuda Sun is a true community newspaper. News is about people and the Sun prides itself on the strength of its relationships in the Island’s diverse community, from both sides of the political fence to the man and woman in the street.
Twice a week the Sun delivers fair and accurate news coverage that is useful, lively, reliable - and above all else, relevant. For more than 40 years it has been telling it as it is - the news without the fluff. It goes beyond the headlines to put a human face on stories and makes the complex readable.
The news team mixes the best of Bermudian journalistic talent with the seasoned professionalism of experienced writers and editors from overseas. In the Sun’s newsroom, everyone cares passionately about what they write, photograph or edit because they care about the progress of the Island and its people.
Neither is the Sun allied to any political party or agenda - just a sincere desire to engage meaningfully with its readers and customers in the community it serves.

The Sun operates from the Donald French Building in Hamilton where it is printed by Island Press.

Our Business

Trusted by readers and advertisers for quality, market reach and coverage
The Bermuda Sun publishes on Wednesday and Friday and has a strong online following at its website, www.bermudasun.bm.  Both the newspaper and website were redesigned in 2005 to reflect greater diversity in the community and to accommodate increasing interactivity with its readers.

The newspaper also publishes a number of special supplements throughout the year ranging from special event publications like the Bermuda Rugby Classic to wedding and Christmas Gift Guides.

In addition to broad news coverage of topics ranging from  politics to the environment  and award-winning investigative reporting and features, the Sun also includes regular sections on sports, business, arts and entertainment, lifestyle and faith as well as some of the Island’s most respected columnists.

The Sun’s experienced sales executives and creative services team are committed to providing superior customer service. They ensure that advertisers connect with their audience with effective, high print quality advertising. And the Sun’s fully digital production  means a modern, readable design that helps readers to easily find what they are looking for.
